Free 37" Wranglers - Will they go on an IFS Yota?

I got some free 37" Goodyear Humvee Tires (unlimited supply) so I am going to try to mount them on my Taco.

As the once famous rapper once said; "Its Hammer Time".

SO... I am having a lift and bash party this Sunday. I know Dous is coming. Anyone else want to help.

There might be some wrenching, cutting, torching, welding, painting and expedition testing to be done.

Here's a build on TW and the guy has 37's on his 1st gen Taco. Your Taco is going to be a beast with the 37's.

Do you drive your tacoma on the road much? I hate the bias ply tires... You'll notice a much rougher ride, and your steering will be awful compared to a radial... Will feel like you're swimming on the road, at highway speeds.

If you got the radial version, of course none of that applies.

I won't let my guys drive our HMMWV's with the Goodyears on the highway... We've been using the BF Goodrich Baja T/A's for awhile... Much nicer on the road.

Again, if you got the radials, disregard.

I have radials.

I like the look of the good years but i have access to the BFG's too.


I played around this morning.

Clears the upper control arm but hits the windshield washer tank and inside wheel well on full lock.

Just make sure you mount them with the treads facing the opposite ways like the HMMWVs do.

That way, when the Zombies come, they can't tell which way you're going.

All Day. We lose an hour tonight but should be starting at 8 or 9.

It should be quick and easy. Plus, we will have some great weather.

Dous and myself installed the lift kit in the taco today. Very easy. Our hardest part was installing the winch. Oh, and the gas fill tube. Messed with that for like an half an hour.


Tires rub in the usual spot. The frame between the body and the lower control arm. It also rubs on the tube bumper. I will shorten the bumper and it is good to go.
