Free battery with AAA

Ok I am looking for battery reccomendations for 96 4runner 3.4 4X4. I have searched and cannot find anyting directly on point.

Here's the deal AAA premier for the Allied AAA group will give you a free battery when your battery fails. So my options are to wait until im in the AAA allied group area when I go back home and call them and they will come out and replace the battery with a AAA battery for free. Anyone running AAA batteries?

The second option is for me to purchase another battery of my choosing and then just get reimbursed. I have a good relationship with advance auto and was thinking of maybe getting the red top optima (since I can get it for like $135 there). I know its not really my money, but I dont want to buy a $400 battery and rip off AAA either. I know some have said the newer Optimas are not that good, but it must still be better than AAA, or Duralast right? I dont think I need a yellow top because I dont have a system or anything. Thought the red top would be nice for when I offroad and the vibrations.

Also anyone in the AAA alied group may want to check out the membership. I paid $145 for the year and the battery alone is worth that.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and advice. Mod's if you feel this should be in a different section, please feel free to move.

Thanks again

I should have indicated earlier, but my previous battery tested ok at advance but they said it will be shot after winter or before if its cold.

Current battery is almost 4 years old rated at 525cca and tested this week at 435cca.

I bought the top of the line Autozone battery with 700cc amps. It was list $100 I paid like $63 after coupons codes and tax. I love it, starts quick in winter and hasn't died on me yet, bought it a few months ago.
