Fresh Coolant weak freezing protection?

I drained and flushed engine coolant yesterday.
Drained the engine block as well.
Flushed with apprx 2.5 gal of distilled water for 10-15 min with fan and heater on high.
Drained, also the engine block.
Refilled with Toyota Red concentrate 1.1 gal and distilled water 1.1 gal.

The old coolant was still bright and clear, also Toyota red diluted.

Now, the fresh coolant is somewhat murky, not too much, but somewhat. Also I can see some residue floating at the top when remove the radiator cap.
I tested it temperature protection and it's a weaker then the old coolant that was there before. Shows till -10F, and old coolant was pretty much at -35-40F.
Was it because I did not drain all water from the system, even while draining the block?
Should I replace some of the diluted coolant in the system with 100% red till it gets to the right number?
And why is the new coolant murkier then the old one?

Where are you testing it the, the rad or the overflow tank?
Check it in the rad.

Maybe run it for a bit but it sounds like there's too much water in it.
If so, add straight antifreeze.

Tested in the radiator.

Im guessin the lube caused the issue. Your fine on winter protection at 50/50. IMO I would just run toyota red without the lube.

Lube was gin clear like the water. I believe it wouldn't hurt.

Just so you know nothing can lube a water pump.

The bearing is sealed and shouldn't be in contact with the coolant unless the seal goes.

Then you need a new pump.

Just because the stuff went in clear doesn't mean it doesn't change when mixed with antifreeze and heated.

We know water and anti freeze don't go muddy.

I thought so too, another option is it didn't flush it well enough.
Some sediments might left there since it had not been changed for about 7-8 years. I did add some red from time to time though.
