So I purchased several LEDs from v-leds.com to upgrade some of the lights on the car. For the front turn signal/blinkers I bought these AMBER 54 LED PARK/TURN BULBS 1156 | 1 PAIR
Problem is they will not work. Kind of. If I remove the socket from the housing and remove the plug for the socket, then stick some wire into the plug and touch the blinkers they work just fine. However when they are in the socket that connects to the housing, nothing..... So somewhere inside the little socket piece that twists on to the back of the housing its not getting a connection. The regular incandescent bulb works just fine, but the LED will not. Same on both sides.
Has anyone ran into this when changing to LEDs?
Oh and also, I managed to short out the hazards when I was messing around with it. I found a fuse for the turn signal and they work, but I am now getting nothing with the hazard lights. Is there a fuse for these somewhere??
