Front bumper cut at Toyota on 2020 Pro's

I found this interesting and haven't seen anyone else post about this so I thought I'd share.

I will be trimming my front bumper slightly to accommodate larger tires soon, but have been reluctant to do so.......until I saw that Toyota (or the port) performs somewhat of a hack-job cut to the front bumper already!

Here's what mine looks like (look right above the red hook)

And here is a new one sitting on the lot (a cleaner cut than mine)

My 2015 PRO didn’t come like that. I had to do the trimming myself after I slapped on 285’s.

Maybe its just the 2020’s, or not?

It resolves minor rubbing in reverse at full lock.
I took delivery of my 2015 before the TSB was announced.

I remember it was causing a hold up, and the 2015 TRD Pros were sitting at ports for weeks waiting for the bumper cut before they could be delivered to dealerships.

The wheel offset is different by just enough to rub depending on alignment.

Not a "factory vehicle." It's factory until they slap on the mini lift and other TRD stuff at port.

Do the Pros come with unique wheels and tires? My '20 SR5P came with the TRD wheels and Duratrac 265/70/17's and I don't have any trimming in that spot.

The offset on the pro wheel pushes the tires out a little farther and the wheel itself is 1/2" narrower.

My 19 and my 20 was not cut from Servco Toyota in Hawaii. I just did some trimming yesterday.

Lol, I have. I've had this truck since January 16th and there's never been any rubbing. Not even close. Are there different versions of the Pro wheel? Mine came as part of an "upgrade" package that included the wheels/tires, black badges, exhaust tip, tube steps, etc. But otherwise it's just a plain Jane SR5P.

What a ruckus. At least there's no need for this to go to 285s now, maybe the BMC. Thanks for sharing.
