Front bumper or sliders first?

What is more important to get first, a front bumper or rock sliders?

I can see pros to both of them and can't decide which is actually more important?

Front bumper would probably be more useful overall and far more often, but the first moment I really NEED rock sliders is when you wish you had them over anything else.

Definitely sliders. Also kinda depends on what kinda wheeling you plan on doing

if you damage your bumper offroad, you can buy a replacement plate bumper.

If you damage your rockers--- ouch $$$$

Sliders. This question has been asked many times before and the overwhelming response is always sliders.

If you're aim is rolling over rocks and trees, agree with this sentiment 100%. For lightish bumps and scrapes, you can get away with a lot more with your front bumper than your rockers.

For sure do sliders, if you don't really need a winch. If you are lifted and have >33s and/or a body lift, you don't really need sliders unless you are wheeling hard, but a bumper really doesn't do much other than wreck protection, I've wheeled in the rocks with my stock bumper for a while and it's never been an issue.

My vote is for sliders first, then skids, then bumper. I've only hit my rear bumper on trails, so I'd even suggest a rear bumper before the front.

In terms of armor, skids and sliders come first. Yours should already have some rudimentary skids, so get the sliders to protect the body next. Front and rear bumpers are good but they're damn expensive and adding them will make the front and/or rear sag and force you to immediately upgrade the suspension.

I put Sliders on mine to use as side steps because my wife was complaining about the height and getting in and out of the rig.

I vote sliders cuz they stop shopping carts from damaging the side of the truck.

...and door dings.

Another vote for sliders then front skid.
