front D ring mounts

I don't have a front Sport skid plate, but from some pictures I've seen, the shackle bracket would be right behind it. I believe they use similar areas to mount on. There are two brackets with them and from the looks of the pictures I've seen online, there seems that there would be interference between the D-ring when hooked, and that particular skid plate.

If anyone has pictures from underneath with the skid plate on, we could see. The area that needs to be open is around the frame rail that the bracket bolts up to.

That being said, I've got a set of the brackets primed and ready if anyone is interested. I just sent a set to CA last week.

I've got a set primed and ready for paint. I usually keep one on hand at all times to make prep/shipping time faster. It's ready to go as is or ready for paint.
 
Thank you. One set painted black will be completed today, hopefully for someone on this board. Making more sets this weekend if they're needed. As it gets colder, I'm sure some Jeeps will need to be rescued from the snow this winter.

I have a set going to MN this week. Hope you all don't get too much snow.

I'll have a couple sets primed and ready this weekend.
 
Happy to report that after a year these gems are still looking brand new and hoping/not hoping I get to use them this winter! ��
 
I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't see it

If I'm being pulled up a hill will my winch line or recovery strap contact my stock bumper?

Id like to order these, but that gave me pause.

On the 3rd gen the shackle brackets use the same bolts, bolt holes and are positioned in the same place as the tie-down eye and tow hook at the very front and bottom of the frame rail.

There is a post several down where there are pictures of rigs being pulled from the D-Rings. It doesn't seem to be a problem. If you can't see the pictures, let me know and I'll send them to you.
 
Yes. These will fit that. They have the same frame as the 3rd gen 4Runner. They fit on my friend's 2002. Just a slight bevel I need to put on a corner of it. Let me know if the order is for a Tacoma.

Where have you been all my life? Haha! Seriously though, these look awesome. I have D shackles just sitting and I was contemplating how to mount them. Looks like I found my answer. I will be ordering in a few minutes.

I know this was a while ago, but these ones were for me! :naughty: I sandblasted them and had a friend powdercoat them black. Still looking great, thanks again!
