front differential brackets no problem

Thanks to Kurt @ the 120 and Aha over here on making sure i didn't f/u anything will doing this. I'm lucky enough to have some equiptment and tools to play with, and not being SCARED to try.

So, I know I'm almost 8 years late to this, and I hate to be "that" forum guy, but why did you do this mod? I was just given a link to this post and recommended I do it because the diff brackets are easily cracked, but I haven't heard or read anything about the arms being fragile throughout my research into 4th gens and mods

I've heard of a couple of these breaking, none recently, but if they do break it'll allow the differential to pivot which will ruin CV's and dent or crack the engine oil pan. Happened to a guy one here. I think I heard the early model years were weaker as well.

It's pretty easy to weld some steel to, though I haven't done it personally and haven't encountered any issues.

Well then, it doesn't have to be worth the trouble, just do it for "the project".
And it's definitely an upgrade that very, very few others will have!

I may just give her a whirl. I'll post pictures if I do and see how much of a pain it is or isn't.
