What changed between 12/96 and 1/97 for the front driver side marker light?
Tried to get the front left side marker light housing at Carid they said this housing wouldn't fit because my base 2wd 97 4Runner was built before 1/96.

I think this may be the right lookup (but I'm not sure because of that 1/96 thing)
Given it matters if the vehicle is built before 1/96 (according to Carid and according to this screenshot below), is there a way to do a more correct online parts lookup based on the VIN perhaps?
