Front End Accident, now VSC engages at high speed...Dangerous

Help, I did signifigant body damage to my '04 V6 4WD 4runner, although no engine or frame damage. I did do damage to left front wheel, and had to replace a support. Now when I drive the vehicle, the VSC engages randomly, while driving 40-60mph. I get the beeping noise, the light comes on the dash, and I lose all control of the vehicle, and have almost wrecked twice. It last about 3-5 seconds, and then I regain control. This happened about 6 times in a 24 hr period, so I stopped driving the car. It is completely random, and tends to kick on curves, when I am going towards the left. Any ideas how to identify and correct the problem? I can't make the problem occur, its random. thank you.

I would suspect the ABS sensor on the left front wheel, or the associated wiring.

You need to do a yaw rate zero point sensor calibration and a DAC (if equipped) calibration. Going into a 40mph bank and the traction control kicking is a
symptom of what you are dealing with. Very, very common.

btw. this can happen when any amount of work is done to a front end, i.e. tire change, rotor replace, new pads, lift kit install, moving tpms connectors.....not saying that any of this WILL do it...but it can.

Was this done through insurance? If it were, I think the repair shop didn't do a good check-over.

Hopefully you can make up for their idiocy with that quick fix.

This just happened to me on my 4 Runner and I hav an 03 Model. Did you do the fix suggested and did it work?
