Front hydraulic bump stops?

Been searching for a couple days and found nothing but talks of wheelers bump stops. Has anyone installed, Fabricated front hydraulic bump stops? I currently have the king rear bump stops and wanting to match the front.

Go to tacomaworld.com ...2nd gen tacoma front suspension is near similar to 4runners and plenty of examples are there. However, the better setup would be to go with a bypass shock rather than a hydraulic bumpstop. There is just no room for for all three to work off the lower. You could bump your uppers off a vertical uni-ball but this is definitely not the forums to discuss that.

Also, would love to see pix of your rear setup...didnt know there was someone besides me with rear hydro bumps on a 5th gen.

Ah yes, that makes absolute sense about a bypass shock. I was looking at the room there was to work with. Needless to say, there’s not much.

I’m currently waiting on the Total Chaos mount to install the king bump stops. I’ll post here when I’m finished. It has finally shipped.

Here are my bump stops. I have the total chaos mounts in. But, I also ordered som Resz Fab rear links. So, I’m going to wait to have everything for the install.

Also running rear hydro bump stops (Icon) and Wheeler's Superbumps up front.

I wanted front hydro bumps too until I noticed you don't really need them performance wise with the right suspension setup. At this point the real limitation is the OEM IFS setup until you go LT

Edit: If you really want hydraulic bump stops up front, be ready for a decent amount of fab work to have it in there. I've seen some pics in the 3rd gen forum with hydro bumps up front

That’s no joke, A lot of fabrication! I’m not going to cut, grind and weld on the front. I have the wheelers bump stops, they’re gonna have to do. Eventually I suppose I’ll get the total chaos LCA and run a bypass shock.

If you're going that far, you gotta go LT. Total overkill on the OEM sized LCA's

Plus you know you want to anyways

The long travel setup yes! But, I do wonder how daily driving would be like. I like the total chaos LCA.l. But, for 2 grand long travel would seem to be a better option.

Im been waiting for my Resz links to come in and do everything at once. But, it’s gonna be awhile before they are here. So I decided to install the King rear bump stops.

Front bump stop - secondary shock

For more resistance up front why not consider a secondary shock? Use the set-up by ICON or any others that are available to add a secondary shock. And maybe there's a shock that can be tuned with bottom end resistance - so it engages mostly at the end of the compression, when the front end is almost fully compressed. I don't know. Ask King or ICON.
