Front mount camera

Where do you have it mounted.

Lower grill? Level with headlights?

Installing mine tomorrow and trying to decide best location as a spotting camera. I'm planning on lower grill at the moment. That will have to change when I get my bumper... but that height seems like it would be good.

Thoughts?

Depends highly on the FOV of the camera and the mounting angle. I change mine all the time and still don't know what is ideal.

My plan at the moment is this.

So, go test and report back to us :clap

My findings, so far, is 120-160 degrees is not very useful.
I've bench tested this camera and it looks promising.

It is listed as 150*, but it actually seems wider than one that I have that is listed as 170*.

My plan is to mount one under the passenger mirror and one one up front. I'll use the backup wire on my head unit to flip between the two with a toggle switch. My thought is that switching between the two will allow me to see what I cannot hanging my head out the window. Most likely wishful thinking, but seems worth a try.
