Just want to reach out and see if anyone else has run into this problem:
Power windows and power locks work from the driver's switches, except for the front right window. Window is also not working at the switch in that door. I have some spare parts I've picked up from trips to the wrecking yards, so I've swapped out switches, and the window regulator. I even grabbed the switch from the rear right door that is working, and put it into the right front door.
Nothing. Oh, and the regulator has been jumped direct to a power source, and will work.
So, now looking at a possible wiring issue, like an open circuit or corrosion or who knows. My question is, has anyone else come across this problem? Is there an obvious wear point or junction or splice that I should target?
My next step is to take some wire and jump from the driver's harness directly to the passenger's harness to see if that works, and start working back from there to isolate and/or repair the problem.
Oh, sorry... 1992 V6 Auto 4Runner
