Any 4th gen V8 recovery points available or coming?
yes! go to the website and look under recovery points. 120 series point for you. If you have an 06+ it does requite removing the factory loop. The 150 series points will also work and not require any cutting.

Front recovery loops
There are two of these points on the front. One on each side of the frame. There is one in the back but you can easily add a second point using threaded holes that are already there. It's the same as the other rear loop. Loop and 2 bolts available from the Toyota dealer.
If you use a bridle on both tie down loops you can cut the load to each side in half. With the right chock block the load will be equal on both sides. Here's a thread showing how to make a sturdy bridle, where to buy one and what it looks like in use (photos).

Recovery Gear Options
For the back tie down loop you have to move the exhaust tip forward or turn it sideways behind the tire. A side exhaust has the advantage of not blowing exhaust out the back where it can get sucked into the back window if it's open.
No fear mongering, just providing an upgraded solution. Just like 75% of what we bolt on our rigs.
You're right, it was a 120 platform, either a FJ, 4th gen, prado, or GX. The design on the 5th gen is the same though. I've attached a pic of a 5thgen for reference.
