Front spacer install question

planning to install 3" leveling front spacer. The one goes on a top of strut assembly. Looked behind a wheel and see that it should be easy job, do I need a ball joint separator or I can do it without? I dont have to get strut completely out, just need a room to rotate it 180 degrees.

one more question. Spacer only measures 1 1/4" will this give me claimed 3" lift?

3" is way more than a level kit. The front will be visibly higher than the rear even with nothing in it. Think twice before you do this. The car will squat in the back with anykind of passengers/junk in the trunk.

I think it looks dumb when the front is higher than the back.

he's got rear air, which can be fooled into max ride height at all times fairly easily...which would level it out.

-to the OP, as far as I know, you only need to remove the sway bar links, and you will not need to remove the balljoints at all.
Looks like I wont be the only lifted 4th gen in edmonton My lift comes in this week, and I have a new set of BFG AT KO's to go on also

yes, that rear air limits me from doing anything at the back without modifications. 3" on front should be just perfect. I can always raise back 2" extra inches on demand. I measured from center of wheel to fender and a difference is around 2 1/2" and my rear never sags. I dont affraid to be slightly higher at front. 265/70/17 Duratracs going right after. I will attempt install spacers next weekend

You can do this without removing the upper ball joints. Use the stock jack placed upsidedown to push the ball joint down. Be careful! Make sure that the jack doesnt slip.

It's best to unbolt the anti-sway bar links and remove the strut completely from the vehicle. I am not sure how you'd expect the place the spacer without unbolting and disassembling the strut.

nice! I orderd my daystar kit from a local 4x4 shop and I've been waiting about a month for my parts to come in! I got a set of spidertrax spacers for badass stance also my lift should be in this week, so I hope to have it all installed by the end of the month

I just registered with ct4wd a month ago. When I get my lift and tires I'll become a full member and do some trail runs. I live in Red Deer, so I'm right between two major cities in AB ))
