Hi,
I have Bilstein 5100s w/Toytec springs. Gives me around a 2.5" lift and I've had the setup almost 5 years with approx 35k put on them.
To be honest, not a huge fan of the the Bilsteins. The 5100s handle well on the freeway but always been too stiff for my taste over small bumps.
Anyone try these Freedom Off-Road front struts before? Doesn't note the manufacture - maybe Nitro? Nice price, comes fully assemble too.
My biggest concern with Freedom is longevity. I bought their UCAs a few years back and the front passenger ball joint was shot by 25k miles and the drivers side is on its way out too - no off-roading, some city driving which is tough on the bumps. Still, haven't been impressed with having to do this ball joint replacement which I'm planning on pressing those out.
Any opinions on their struts would be awesome. I'm looking for more comfort and a smoother ride for a 2.5-3" lift.
