Front Suspension Help

Hey guys so I was sliding around in the mud yesterday. This afternoon I was walking to my car and noticed that the drivers side had waayy too much toe in so I looked under the car and saw this:

What is this piece calledrlIt was attached to the sway bar. This is what made the negative camber right? I wouldn't have noticed but I was walking toward my car and had my wheels pointed slightly left.

Sway bar end link. They are pretty cheap to replace, you can get a pair for like $30.

Thank you. Is there a heavy duty alternative. It looks flimsy. I don't need a re-alignment do I?

Not sure if there is a beefy alternative. I just did a quick google search and they all look about the same to me. I'm sure there's a company that makes a nicer one though.

You don't need to get an alignment you're fine.

Yup swaybar end link. There is a tougher version in a way. I know 4Crawler makes some really nice looking quick disconects and you're not going to have any worry about breaking it if it's disconected when you wheel. Personally I took my front ones off but it's looser in the front and you're a a risk on the highway if you make a sudden manover so I'd maybe less recomend it and more say it's a matter of oppinion.

Start soaking it in pb blaster now lol. It's an easy fix either way.

could someone hepl me out? Im looking for the part number for the sway bar links. I dont want aftermarket ones right now. I have been looking all over the forum but cannot find it. Just need to make sure that I order the correct part. Thanks!:cheer2:

Don't go OEM on something like this. I just checked one of the hundred online discount toyota parts sites and it listed one of those at $75. It's just a swaybar and while it does serve a purpose there are a lot of people on this forum that have them completely removed.

I went to autozone and got parts to do this for roughly $25 for both sides.

These online discount part places quit listing the part numbers a year or so ago. There are other ways to find the part numbers but I don't have the link saved anywhere.

Washed & Waxed then ....


Installed new rear Toyota LC shocks, front sway bar (bought from COB then refurbished by me), new bushings and custom front end links from Stick Figure.

I have been without a sway bar for a year; wow what a difference it makes to have it back on.

NCP 2651662 Napa part number... I put new MOOG links on mine and wheel hard. Never hard a problem. I think TOYTEC offers Replacements also.

You're prob thinking of the rear LCA's from toytec... unless I didn't see the link for them, which happens all the time lol . Completely different though. Expensive...and beefy

Front sway bar links are.... front sway bar links - I look at mine as just being in the way.

OP, the moog's should work just fine. Or look into Stick Figure's extended links. Very nice and beefy.

eah pm stick figure about them i have a set of his and they are working like a champ. they have been abused and are still holding up. he comes highly recommended as a seller
