Front USB port fuse?

My front USB port (the one next to the AUX input) died today. I looked at both fuse boxes, but I couldn't identify the exact fuse I need to look at. The 12V power outlet next to it works just fine.

Does anyone know which fuse is responsible for this port? Or at least help me narrow them down by amperage. Thanks.

The '120V Inverter' is on a totally different circuit from the NAVI/Sound system.

The USB Telecommunications port works through the 'Multimedia Interface ECU' and is located at the right-end of dash. There are actually TWO electrical supplies that feed that ECU; both of which source 'directly' from a port on the head unit's rear panel. One power feed originates at the driver-side interior fuse-box and is labeled: ACC fuse 7.5A. The other electrical source comes from the 'MAIN' Fuse/Relay-box (Engine room) and is labeled: Amp fuse 30A. The AMP 30A circuit is: "HOT at all times"; to preserve memory/data.

I doubt that the problem with the dead usb port is a fuse issue or you wouldn't be concerned about that, but rather, 'the entire sound system and GPS have failed' lol! There may be a Fractional amperage fuse within the head unit itself... actually it would make a lot of sense... to protect it's pcb's and microprocessors from damage due to accidental 'short/cross-circuiting' from conductive external object migration. You should also check for bent pins or dirt/objects inside of the female 2.0 USB receiver.

Had the same issue today after plugging in a USB hub, thought I was going to have to go hunting around, came back to my truck after work and it worked again, sweet!

I had the same problem last week. The advice from [MENTION=83083]rigtec[/MENTION] was to pull the RAD fuse out for at least 4 hours to reset the head unit and then put it back in. It worked for me!

Dealer can’t fix it ?

My USB port died. I wasn’t gonna mess with pulling fuse since it’s under warranty, they said they were gonna do software update but it’s updated already and no reason why the USB port should be dead but it is so they are ordering a new USB port to install for me next week????

What’s the fuse trick do that a dealer wouldn’t know ??
