FJ Rims
Decided to try painting the FJ rims instead of powder coating first. I found a nice looking graphite color paint. So far it seems pretty durable and I really like it.
I still have about 15,000 miles left on my 16" tires before I swap over to 17" ones.
I think I'll paint the Toyota logo in the center black

the holy grail
Found the holy grail of junk yard finds today: two recently re-upholstered front seat bottoms WITH new seat foam. The dust wiped right off with water and they look brand new.
...but, the best part is, the junk yard man only charged me $11 a piece. :thanks:

Those wheels are wicked and cheap! Plus the leather seats? Dang!

FINALLY! After a year and a half of owning the 4Runner, I've caught up on all the necessary maintenance and have saved up to splurge on a lift kit

All in all, well. I would recommend lightly sanding before you spray bedliner if you plan on doing it. I didnt sand it and only used acetone to get the grime off before spraying it on. When I pressure washed it at the car wash, some of the bed liner flaked off.
Once the weather gets warm, i'll run some fine grit sand paper over the parts where it came off and re-spray it. But i like having it there--especially with a white 4runner, it covered all the nasty marks left by my shoes.

I definitely takes at least 500 miles to break everything in. It was pretty bumpy at first and felt like it was all over the road even after an alignment, but after 5-600 miles, I really like the way it handles

Did you black out your door handles? Or did they come that way when you got it?

I used black plastidip on them and it has surprisingly help up extremely well for over a year now. I think it makes it look so much better

How would you go about installing new seat bottoms? My '96 has a pretty sizeable rip on the drivers side and ive been wanting to replace it for a while
