Just wave at me when you see me =) or maybe next time we'll see each other in meeting.
So last night, I started to assemble the side rails at around 9pm. Took about an hour rest and finished at around 3am. My fingers, butt and back is sore. Frontrunner manual sucks period. There is a youtube video of a guy installing frontrunner slim from start to end. Watch that.
few things..
1. Whoever that bagged bolts and nuts need to get slapped. missed 3 bolts to assemble the damn rack. I had some spare bolts so I used that instead but now my rack looks half retarded with shiny bolts.
2. rack scratches very easily.. lay something down..
3. to drill the roof, I went to home depot and bought a drill kit. It's very hard to find 11.5mm.. I ended up buying the kit. I also bought water proof silicone. I didn't use the tape measuring method. Instead, I assembled the front/rear rails and I actually had it lay down.
4. overall.. I freaking love it. but again it took me close to 6 hours to install it myself. but well worth it IMO.. here are the pics..

It would be a non starter for me. But to each their own. I've drilled plenty of holes that no one else would touch, so I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Dude, I just popped on here to see what people are saying about Frontrunner powder coating and I have to agree... I've had the SlimlineII for 3 freakin months and I have one spot where the powder coat looks like it just flaked off and 3 other spots where it looks chipped from using their plastic Wolfpack boxes... super frustrating. makes me not even want to get up top to load up the rack. I get stuff is made to be used.... but no properly bonded powder coating should flake and chip this early and easily.
