FS: 1/2" Bodylifts for 3rd gens

Not a problem! Thanks for your order and please be sure to post up some before and after pictures!

Maybe tell a friend or two about them as well :p

I noticed it right away.... in the driveway. It was late when I got finished and I was too tired to deal with it. I'm going to check the rack/steering column connection in a little bit.

Ok, please let me know what you find out so we can figure out a solution!

Worst case, I'll give ya a refund, minus shipping costs. But let's try to get this figured out first :)

I sent ya a PM too

No worries. I think I just need to loosen up something in the steering connection to let it stretch out. I'll let you know. I always have the weird/usual problems. lol

Haha alright. Well thanks for being a good sport about it! Hope you figure it all out and post up some pics!

Install wasn't bad at all. The thing about the .5" that's nice is you don't have to disconnect the steering rag joint or anything else. Just pull the trim and lift up the carpet to get to the bolts inside the cab. Loosen all the bolts first but don't pull them out yet, leave a few threads on. Jack up one side at a time just enough to slide the pucks in. Hand tighten that side, do the same to the other side and then tighten everything down. I didn't have to remove my bumper to get to the two front body mounts. I did buy 2 longer Grade 8 bolts for the front bumper body mounts and 2 for the furthest forward in the cab, just for peace of mine. It was my first experience with a body lift and it was pretty straight forward and easy. If you've got anymore questions just ask me or I'm sure Ol'Blue would be glad to answer any as well. All the info above is pretty much from him. Good luck!

I know you dont have to disconnect the steering rag joint but did you loosen it up before install? Im going to put mine on today or tomorrow and want it to be quick and easy. Ill be using a hilift and hope there are no problems there. Any additional advice would be great. I read through as many threads as I could and it seems really basic just new to this so a little hesitant since im working with a connection between my frame and body!!!

Just to recap:
1. Loosen steering rag joint
2. Loosen body mount bolts
3. Jack up one side enough to slip pucks into place
4. lower and hand tighten
5. repeat on opposite side
6. Tighten bolts
7. Tighten steering rag joint
8. Boom! Done

Am I missing any steps?
Thanks

I actually didn't even need to loosen the steering rag joint. I ended up just loosening the body mount bolts. It shouldn't take you too long. 4-5 hours if you take it slow.

Can you explain to me how you are going to use a hi-lift, and where?

I hate hi-lifts when changing tires. Never mind using it when your fingers could get pinched! Use a floor jack and 4x4's. It's much more stable.

ALSO, make sure you jack up the body as close to the body mount as possible. Don't lift from a central area. That will cause too much stress if you are trying to lift the entire side up over 1/2".

Haha I was thinking I would get knocked out by the hi-lift and eff my car in the process. 4x4s and a floor jack sound like a better option.
