Ok so I just signed up less than a month ago all excited to beef up my new and first T4R. Then fate got me. Or rather, a deer got my wife. Here's the scoop, just gonna pretty much copy/paste off my local CL ad:
For sale is a 1998 4Runner SR5 4x4 with ONLY 132,xxx miles, 3.4 Liter 6 cylinder, Electronic Locking Rear Differential, ABS, running boards, power locks, power mirrors, lumbar support, running boards, tow hitch, and more. Burgundy in color. CLEAN Nevada title in hand. Everything on the truck works great.
Wife hit a deer and I'm not too good with bodywork. Needs a bumper and drivers side fender and headlamp. Grill and hood are both perfect. Truck runs great as is, can be taken on a test drive, you can even go wheeling in my back yard if you like. Great chance for someone with a little bit of talent to fix up and own a 4Runner for cheap or turn it around and make some quick easy cash for the holidays. Could easily be turned into a great off roading machine, replace stock bumper with aftermarket, use the money you save by doing the work yourself putting on a lift kit, et cetera. Building it up was my plan before a deer determined otherwise. Just saw a 97 headlamp local on CL for $70. I also know there is a Toyota wrecking yard hub (read:huge inventory) in Sacramento in addition to the local parts yards, which aren't too shabby themselves. Would probably go ahead and do the work myself, I'm certain I could figure it out, but I work 12 hour days, have a family, and just don't have time for yet another project. My loss is your gain. I don't expect this to last too long so hit me up and lets talk.
I looked a long time before buying this Runner, because I was pretty picky about the one I wanted having low miles, locking rear diff, et cetera. Also, just got $1000 in service to it not too long ago, including timing belt, water pump, et cetera (100k service), as well as all new brakes and rotors not too long before that. Needs nothing except the light bodywork mentioned!

Also, looking to buy a 99 T4R Highlander with relatively low miles, don't care if it's built or not. Could work a partial trade for this 98 if you're interested.
