FS 2nd Gen 1995 65k miles 4x4 TX (Austin)

I'm considering selling my 2nd gen 4runner in order to get a 2nd gen pickup.

Specs
1995 SR5 4x4
65,000 original miles
3.0 V6 (head gaskets have been done)

I've put a lot of work into it recently, when I got it it had been in a garage for a couple years.

- pads and rotors
- battery
- power steering pump
- radiator
- trans flush
- O2 sensor
- TPS
- radio and speakers
- idler arm
- front upper and lower control arms
- new rear window tracks

As is it needs a new rear bumper, tires, and good scrub and undercoating on the frame. It spent its life up in New York until now so there is some surface rust but that is the extent of it, nothing that a through removal and coating wouldn't solve, no damage or holes of any sort.

I wasn't sure what to ask for it since I haven't seen many 2nd gens with such low milage, listed it at $7,000 on CL offers are welcome.
I'd be happy to trade for a 2nd gen pickup

Small world. I drove that exact 4Runner a few years ago when it was on Craigslist in the NYC area. Definitely better than average.

Yup, it was on there for months and the guy was asking ridiculous money. I guess a 4Runner can always find a buyer because here it is now in Texas. I could tell it was that truck right off the bat from that rear bumper(that crazy asking price and he was too cheap to buy a new chrome bumper?) and those really attractive leather seats with the Toyota logo in them. Does it have the window sticker in it? I'm curious to know what dealer it sold at when new.

I'll have to check and see if the sticker is still in it. How much was the guy asking for it back then? I'm planning on replacing both bumpers with some Trail Gear ones if I end up keeping it, that rear one has got to go.

TBH, I totally forgot. More than you are asking. I was right in the area that day and decided to call him to see what all his fuss was about. It was pretty good, but I wasn't about to drop that money on it. I'm so curious about how it ended up in Texas. No one in this truck's native area was going to buy it.

I was up in Staten Island last month over the holiday and I bought it and drove it home to Texas! Never want to do that drive again.

Staten Island? I guess it ended up there first. It was in New Jersey about two years ago when I looked at it.

I live in Austin, wouldn't mind taking a look at this 4Runner if still available. Any idea where to get the rust taken care of in Austin?

Also, any issues with the vehicle? 65k original miles sounds good, but I know once you start driving a vehicle regularly that hasn't been driven very often, things start to breakdown quickly. Would you be comfortable with this as a daily driver?

Hey - There are a few places here in Austin that do removal and coating. I was planning on doing all that myself, it's not too difficult just labor intensive.

But lucky for who ever buys this, I've ran into those issues and they've been fixed. All items listed above are a result of that. I've put about 1,500 miles on it since I purchased it.

Yes, I would be comfortable having this as my daily.
