Needs engine work - cyl. 3 has no compression. I didn't buy it to work on it (probably should've looked harder for the 3rd gen motor!) ... 4x4 works great, tranny shifts great. Motor starts & runs, will drive, but is only on 5 cylinders.
Details...
It only has 152,xxx miles on it. You won't find a t4r with cleaner interior. This thing was cared for VERY well! Custom seat covers and dash cover from the day it was born, so there's no cracks on the dash & the seats are in absolute perfect condition (see pics). Shifts smooth, drives fine, 4x4 works, has am/fm/cd/AUX installed. Fully loaded... power locks, power windows, sunroof, cruise control, towing, running boards. This thing even has the cargo cover in perfect condition.
Odds & ends that are busted are the automatic antenna & the rear wiper. Roof & hood paint is sun bleached and there's a small dent & cracked blinker on front right. Air conditioner compressor is toast.
Although the motor is in need of drastic attention, it runs & drives pretty well, and will test drive & drive to your location if you don't mind guzzling the gas... on 5 cylinders it drinks a lot!
To me it's an absolute shame cause it's such a clean truck... to you, maybe it's a golden opportunity given you're into working on your cars. Rehab this motor & the AC and you've got the cleanest 4runner in town. Or maybe you're into 4 wheeling... here's the perfect build project. Bonus?? Check out the vintage car phone!
Also willing to trade for Toyota or Honda BMW truck SUV or wagon. Looking at 94/95 troopers too. Could do trade plus cash if the deal's right. Need something I can put my wife & kid in and not worry about it breaking down.
