Up for your consideration is my baby...I called her "Sassy" because she wasn't afraid to go up against the "big boys" off the line, and leave them in the dust! So now she's hurtin. Someone decided to run a yellow light and hit her in the passenger front quarter/wheel/bumper. I only carried liability, and the repairs are more than I want to spend, so I'm wondering if anyone else can fix her up and give her new life!!
I'll attach a bunch of pictures, including a snapshot of the repair estimate parts list. The garage said the frame is obviously bent and needs straigtening, but isn't included on their estimate because they don't have the machine, though he did say the frame is strong and not rusted. There is obvious body work that needs repair, and those parts are not listed either.
Prior to the crash the 4WD was inoperable. It needs 2 sensors and a front differential actuator connector. That was on my "to-do" list before winter struck. Rear window stopped going down years ago and I never checked into that; hardly ever used it so it wasn't that important. The sliding/tilting sunroof works perfectly! There is a trailer hitch. The only real body rust is in the picture, otherwise she's pretty clean.
The interior is in pretty good condition, a few cigarette burn holes in the driver's seat, and a hole in the carpet near the gas/brake pedals. There is a dent in the passengers' door panel that appeared after the accident...my daughter was on that side but said she didn't ram into the door panel, so ???
She still starts right up! Blows cold A/C! Muffler replaced in the last year!
I haven't driven it since the accident, but hubby has...he says there's something funky going on with the transmission, says it's not shifting like it should. I mentioned that to the repair shop and they seemed to think that it was related to the suspension issues, husband thinks it could be a linkage problem due to the fact that the shifter will not go past drive-- he can't get it into 2nd or 1st.
