I bought from the original owner 3 years ago. Since then, I have done basic maintenance such as plugs/wires/ intake gasket, New OEM shocks/springs, rear airbags, new tires, new muffler. Clean carfax showing the engine work being done. Previous owner claimed timing belt/water pump was done around 100K but had no paperwork to back it up fwiw.

It is sitting with about 170K right now. Underside has a little rust being from the midwest, but nothing that a wire wheel and paint can't fix, imo. I never drove it in winter but the previous owner did.

Truck runs good, just looking for a new project. AC needs troubleshooting (which I made a post here about and still haven't gotten around to doing) and valve covers should be replaced soon. Only body damage is rear bumper cap. I have a replacement I just need to get it painted. Other than that, fantastic truck. I have like new 5th gen wheels to put on too. Maybe this weekend if I get a chance.

Will consider trades for a 3rd Gen in Manual, FJ60 (manual) or an FJ80 '93+, preferably '95+.

I have it priced $6,000 locally which is what I was looking to get for it. I got some lowballers telling me I am nuts and it's only worth 2K. :cry:

Here's the worst of it. It appears to be mostly where the brackets hang off the frame. I poked some of the rust off and it appears to be mostly on the outside from what I can tell.

For a 20 year old midwest toyota, I think this looks pretty good. My 6 year old 2nd gen tundra had more rust when I let it go. If if doesn't sell by the end of the month I will pull it off the market and take a wire wheel and paint the frame. It might make me more patient on looking for a clean FJ then :biggrin1:
