This truck is SOLD...to me! Found it lurking here on the forum trying to learn everything I could about 4Runners and then drove out from DC to pick it up on Saturday. So far I'm very happy though I haven't had a chance to take it anywhere fun yet.
Overall, I cannot thank everyone enough for all the advice in this thread and elsewhere on the forum. I needed a smaller vehicle than my '05 Tundra as we are moving to a third world country this summer, and the T4R fits the bill perfectly. I hope I never need that locking rear diff, but it sure is nice to have that peace of mind.

Almost forgot...that interior damage is definitely due to previous owner's dog. It must've been a big one too...kind of sucks to think about it being locked in the car and going a bit crazy. They patched up the holes with what looks like bondo. Looks passable to me but I may end up replacing that door panel per the wife's direction.

I'll be in the market for a low mileage 08-09 in a few months and am having a really hard time gauging prices.

Gents, the title says $16,600. Honestly, I thought it was worth $17,500 but they had had it on the lot since November and were not interested in keeping it any longer. I think the original sticker they had was $20,000. The couple of similar (but not Trail) 4th gen's i saw here in DC were ~$20k.
Keep in mind there was some cosmetic damage on the inside. Not something that bugs me but it may have turned some people away.

The scratches in the back, I wouldn't even worry about because now you can use it without worrying about it. Only thing I would do is replace that door panel that had the couple of spots on it. Be patient and you can find a part out here on the forum and get a new panel for cheap and you will be set.
