They were road tested for less than 1,000 highway miles (while I waited for All-Pro 3.5" Springs that could better handle the weight of my gear and steel bumper). $150 + Shipping.

The iPod cable connects to the back of the head unit and goes where you want it to. I never had the time to install the stereo, but the included cable should easily run to the glove box, that strange little compartment under the HVAC knobs, or to an iPhone/iPod dash mount. If for whatever reason the cable isn't long enough to suit your needs, I've seen iPod extension cables online for under ten bucks, which would enable you to run it just about anywhere you desire.

Not to jack the post, but I've installed the exact same HU with the iPod cable running to the glove box and it sounds 200% better than stock. Direct plug N play and only took about 25 minutes to install. 75 bones for the HU and iPod cable is a good deal too.

I never got a chance to hook it up, but my understanding is that it's plug and play and in addition to the benefit of having the iPod connection over relying on the aux jack it's supposed to sound great. If you search around here and on the internet I think you'll find people have been very pleased with the inexpensive upgrade. PM me if you're interested.

Pretty sure this HU is only plug and play for NON-JBL systems. If your T4R has a JBL, you may be face with buying a conversion TATO and possibly SWIC to get it working.

Does the HU have a Aux input on the front for an Andriod phone for music? Tried looking but couldnt find anything. Also any know how much the wattage is on a non-jbl hu? Just want to see if it would be worth to upgrade...

There is no input on the front of the HU. I don't know if it enables the 4Runner's stock aux jack in the console or not, but I'm told that it works with the steering wheel controls so it may fully integrate. As for the non-JBL specs, I couldn't find any in the owner's manual...
