I have 2 gun vault / cargo boxes for sale. I've been using one in my 4Runner and it's great for hauling around my recovery and camping gear. Still plenty of room for the dogs on top of the box.

Was holding an extra box for a friend but sadly, he no longer has his 4Runner so now I'm selling it off. Both boxes are metal construction.

UPDATE re: mounting - In response to a few folks concerns on mounting - I will provide mounting hardware for OEM cargo area loops at buyer's request and install mounting points on the side on the cargo box along with 4 turnbuckles. If the buyer wants some sort of other install option, we can figure something out (I have metal fab tools so mounting straps, etc aren't out of the equation).

I have mine out of my truck at the moment (had to move some large woodworking equipment) but if I can get a minute this evening I'll put it in and snap a few pictures. The top of the box sits maybe 1" above the wheel wells (I don't have my double decker shelf installed at the moment). So if you wanted to add wings to the box for a completely flat cargo area it would be very easy (couple hinges and cut out 2 wooden 'wings') as well.

As for mounting you have a few different options:

1. Turnbuckles - all 4 factory tie down loops are accessible with this box installed. This seems to be the most popular option for both home built and commercially available boxes. It's the quickest way to install and remove them. You would have to bolt a couple loops onto the outside of the cargo box.

2. Install bolts through bottom of box and cargo area floor with fender washers (obviously this requires drilling holes in the floor but it is probably the most secure but probably overkill). The drawer can be lifted off the slides when they're fully extended (remove a couple screws from slides), then you have full access inside the box.

3. Bolt steel straps along cargo area to factory mounting holes and then bolt the box to that strap (would have to remove cargo drawer like option 2). I believe this option is the way the box manufacturer does installations as it's the most unobtrusive and uses factory mounting locations.

I found a few pictures of the large box installed in a 2014 Tahoe. I'm now 99% certain the larger box is for the Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban trucks as they seem to run 48" between wheel wells. If anyone can confirm, that would be great!

I updated the first post with some pics of it in the 4Runner and added some pictures of the 2nd box in a chevy tahoe (only difference is single drawer vs. double drawers.
