I know this may be a long shot, but here goes nothing!
I got this car in a trade a few months ago and was gung-ho about it for a little while, but I've lost interest in it now. For starters, it is the Miata's first special edition car. It's #1641 of 3000 '91 BRGs (British Racing Green) made. It runs and drives great! When I got it from the P/O, it looked like he let it sit under a pecan tree half of it's life, then moved it underneath a pine tree the other half! The paint is in horrible shape, but there's no rust anywhere. I cleaned the top and it looks 10 times better than it did when I got it. I originally got it as a project car, so the appearance didn't bother me at all.
Now, I've recovered the seats, cleaned the interior, cleaned the top, changed the oil, replaced all 4 shocks, rebuilt the shifter with both new boots, and replaced the exhaust with a Racing Beat Power Pulse Dual Sport Exhaust System. I bought a timing belt kit for it, but haven't replaced it yet. It'll come with the car. The car does have 166,2XX miles on it as of now. I don't drive it very often, but I do drive it about 10-15 miles a week, just to keep it running on a regular basis. The tires are in good shape, and if I had to guess, I'd say there's 5-7K miles on them. I do have all the original documentation on it as well as a framed letter from Mazda about it being a BRG. The P/O kept all the service records and such, so all of that will come with the car as well.
The paint looks crappy, but the body is straight and there is zero rust. I'm sure the car could look great one day, but I've just lost the want-to to get it looking good. It'll make someone a great car! I'm asking $3,000 OBO for it or I'd like to trade it for a jetski or 4X4 4wheeler. Any questions, just ask!
