I am selling my much loved 1998 4Runner SR5. I have owned this wonderful runner for 9 years.
It has:
- 4wd with automatic transmission
- Transmission was replaced at 216,000 (Replacement has 123k on it)
- Factory Locker (works perfectly)
- 2.5" Old Man Emu Lift
- Custom RockSliders (each one can support the weight of the vehicle)
- Additional Skidplates
- Custom front tow points
- Quick Disconnect front sway bar
- No frame or body rust (This truck lived in AZ and So Cal for all but last 2 yrs)
- Aftermarket Pioneer 2 Din Bluetooth Stereo (Phone and music streaming)
- Level 8 Black 15x8" Rims (Matching Spare Rim)
- New front brake pads (Entire brake system only 2 yrs old)
- Extended Diff Breather (rear axle)
- New axle seals on both sides of rear axle
It needs:
- Steering wobble at higher speeds (likely due to cupped front tires)
- Valve cover gaskets need to be replaced
- Front and rear bumpers have wrinkles from a fender bender but zero structural damage done
This 4Runner is in very good shape for a vehicle that is almost 20 years old and has 224,000 on it. The transmission that i put in earlier this year works flawlessly and operates in 4hi and 4lo without any issues. The interior is in outstanding condition with no rips or tears in the fabric and no cracks on the dash. All windows and sunroof are power operated and work perfectly with no issues at all.
I have no great desire to sell it but my children are getting bigger and our future road trips will require more time spent traveling and I just need more room.
Are you wanting to experience the outdoors or get into overlanding? If so, this truck will get you started with minimal expense and you will be way ahead of the curve with all of the existing upgrades it has.
I am asking $5,500 for this runner and given all it has yet to offer I feel that is a reasonable price but I will entertain fair offers. I want it to have good home most of all.
