Fuel Mileage???

Up until my very recent tire change, I consistently got between 20 and 21 MPG on the highway with a 2.5" lift, 265/75R16 tires and a supercharger. A few months back I put on larger and more aggressive tires and lost what looks like about 1.5 MPG. And during the winter, due to the oxygenated fuels, you will automatically see a 1.5 MPG reduction as well.

My commute to work got me 21.75 all rural 2 lane roads.

Drove to Pottstown PA Saturday. Took 422 the entire way and got 22.75.

I've never seen a mpg difference using strait gas. Just spent a extra 45 cents a gallon.

Aside from regular maintenance issues, a few things really hurt my mileage.

1.Off roading
2. Really cold weather
3. driving over 60 MPH
4. City driving

I have topped 23 mpg cruising at a steady 55 mph and not a lot of starts/stops. Average driving it's closer to 18-20 mpg.
In this really cold weather I'm currently experiencing, It's got to be closer to 12 but I don't think I want to know the real number. It would be about 1/2 of normal judging by the odometer/gas gauge readout

I get about 17/18 with my 33's and body lift. (Body lift "supposedly" makes mileage worse"). So I would say start with a general tune up? Spark plugs, Spark plug wires, Clean your air filter? Get a new air filter? clean your throttle body? Run some lucas fuel injector cleaner? Don't be so heavy on the foot? (ALTHOUGH I myself am a lead foot). Also check your tire pressure.

22.4 mpg yesterday
- stock ride height
- Firestone Destinations
- Fram air filter
- Fram oil filter/Castrol oil
- Edlebrock cat
- Thrush muffler

Now on my up-keep mods, I recently did just that ^ New plugs, wires, coil packs, air filter, every other fuel fill up I run fuel system cleaner AND When traveling I baby the rig. Yesterday, I drove from Altoona, PA 2 hours west to Pburgh on route 22; and got the mentioned mpg... I was overjoyed.
