Fuel pressure fittings

I know this has been beaten to death as I searched. I am however looking for specific parts for a test of fuel pressure. If

I understand I need the banjo bolt like

I understand it might be easier to access with

I am looking for the test fitting to add to that 90 degree. One that I could leave on the truck for easy access at anytime if needed. Something that will last and hopefully not leak.Not having much luck or Im looking in the wrong spot. Any help here for the fitting that would attach to the 90 degree and have a test port would be great.

A simple pipe plug will close it off when not needed.

A mechanical fuel or oil pressure gauge and the copper capillary tubing will work and be safe.

Duck tape the gauge to your windshield or hood.

An electronic gauge gets it inside the cabin but costs much more.

You did replace the filter already correct?

I think he made a T and put it in the fuel line before the regulator.

Filter was the first thing I did.
Im fairly certain my issue will present itself in a manner where I can watch it with the hood up.

Or punt and replace the fuel pump. It’s cheaper than the FP regulator, and they don’t fail much.

Im gathering parts to do a fuel pressure test as we speak.

After that I will do some research as Im unsure how to troubleshoot fuel injectors.
Ill need voltage at the connector and such but unknown how to figure if its clogged/stuck open or failed will be the question.

Fuel rated Schrader valve for testing fuel pressure. Rated for Diesel or Gas.

This it the type of fitting I was looking for. Put the new Russel banjo bolt in. Add the 90 degree and install this shrader type valve with cap. That way its just sitting there ready to go.

Any thoughts if this would work?

On American cars that’s factory. So yes it will work.

The biggest issue you will run into with running the 90 elbow is their just isn't hardly enough room to even thread it into the end of the fuel rail because of the timing belt cover. Unless you cut a spot out to thread it in. How I read my fuel pressure - YotaTech Forums

Heres a good write up on how ridiculous toyota made it for us to check our own fuel pressure..not sure why they didn't put a schrader valve anywhere. The system I used was able to tell me my pressure at idle and also under load/accelerating. It would hold steady at 44lbs idling and drop down to 18-20 lbs while accelerating. Good luck with figuring it out.

Yep it tells you which path to take. That or remove the fuel rail and assemble the pressure tester and then reinstall everything. If your doing that you may as well replace the injectors since it’s all apart.

The 7th injector kit cuts the fuel line before it reaches the rail. In my mind that's way easier and reliable if you use the same parts in the URD 7th injector kit.

Im not familiar with the 7th injector for the SC.

But wouldn't you want to test the pressure near the same source as the FSM states? Granted its not the same way the FSM says to so maybe thats not a big deal.

If you would like I can send you the fuel line fittings/hose I have and you would just need a T barb and the pressure gauge. If not hit up a pick and pull and cut off as much of the fuel hose/fittings you can and rig one up. Let me know what you wanna do. Good luck.

Just added my fuel pressure gauge the other night. Like the idea of being able to see fuel pressure whenever I pop the hood, and not need any other special tools.
