fuel pump connector

I nned some help. My 98 4runner SR5 that I bought a few weeks ago has ALOT of hack job repairs. A few days ago I dropped the tank to fix a vent tube issue. while I had the tank down, I noticed that whoever dropped the tank previous and did a BAD vent tube repair did not disconnect the harness from the fuel pump before dropping the tank and the connector is broken. I have a new connector. so far all I can find for what pin is what is pin 4 and pin 5. does anyone know or can someone look at theirs and let me know what color wire is what pin in the connector? I have gone through the EWD at the toyota dealer I work at numerous times, I even pulled the paper manual out, both methods only gave me pins 4 and 5

Pins 1,2, and 3 aren't shown because they aren't for the fuel pump, they are the fuel level and low fuel light wiring.

Thankyou. I have all of that, my issue is determining which one goes to what pin. I have access to toyotas database for repair manuals, and wiring diagrams but all they have is a designation for pins 4 and 5. I had to pick and choose for pins 1, 2, and 3 to temporarily get it driveable until my new connector came in today. Im pretty sure I have them all in the correct positions, I was hoping someone had a pic or could look at theirs real quick. I would rather know for sure that all pins are correct before I lock the pins in the new connector

So you need the pin out for the plug itself?

It shows plug "F10"

I would crawl under mine and snap a pic, but everything is just a brown mess right now. your welcome to come scrub her clean and look at whatever you need though lol.

LOL I know what you mean. the F10 connector our parts department couldnt get but my parts person did some referencing and a 4runner F10 is the same as an older camry or avalon F8. ive got the F8 sitting on my toolbox. im going to wait to put it in until I can confirm I have all 5 pins in their correct location

I do appreciate the rm links but I already have all these. Im a tech at Jerry Durant Toyota in Granbury Tx. I have all the manual and digrams at my fingertips unfortunately, I have been unable to get the info for what pins 1, 2 and 3 were. I think i have 1, 2 and 3 in the correct positions, but I am not positive. fuel guage is working like it should and gas light is not on for the moment (im at half a tank so it shouldnt be LOL)

Did anyone ever figure out the pin connector locations? I was dropping tank to replace pump and before I could disconnect the connector, the tank dropped pulled the pins out. The connector pins are still attached to the wires I just need the locations by color. Thanks.

I need to test my pump, to determine if it works or if i need a ECM or what .

I want to run 12 volts directly to the pump, what pins on the pump plug do I need 4 & 5 right ?If so, how do i tell what is 4 & 5? what color are the wires to 4 & 5?

Pin 4 on F10 is Blue-orange(apply 12V+) and Pin 5 is Black-white (ground-).

Ok tested the pump this morning , It works , Now i need to test my Circuit Open Relay. I have a sneaking suspession thats the problem.

2004 Toy 4 runner 4.ol
Fuel pump connector wiring is.
Pin 1. Leave blank
Pin 2. orange {might be pink} with silver dots (small wire)
Pin 3. Yellow with silver dots (small wire)
Pin 4. white w/ blk stripe (Neg feed)
Pin 5. Black w/ red stripe (positive feed)

One of my customers connector fell apart and I tested this as I reinstalled it making sure gas gauge, low warning light, and fuel pump all worked. Hope this helps someone. :dance:
