fuel pump? MAF oring?

successful tank drop. It was a faulty fuel pump. Maybe the oring had something to do with it as well, cause it was torn and ripped. All in all it was pretty easy job. Empty tank is a key, although in my case i got stuck. Truck had little over half a tank.

Installed:
Denso fuel pump (bought a while back)
Denso fuel check valve (bought a while back)
oem oring

Next up timing belt. it's due

On your 2001 did you have to remove the driveshaft? Or did you find a way around that? I will be dropping the tank on my 2001 soon - bad overfill check valve giving P0442 code. I'm sure the video you watched dropping the driveshaft was the same I watched by Fix It Angel.

I did not undo the rear driveshaft on my 2000 when replacing the fuel pump. 2001 should be the same.

No I didn’t. Was kind of tight with the drive shaft but you have to be patient. It took me a good 30-45 minutes trying to remove the hoses to the tank. Pita but it beats taking off the drive shaft.
