This happened to me on my old 4runner. Took me 5 hours on the phone with the dealership (parts dept friend of a friend at the time) for him to find the schematic. MAKE SURE you get the wires back in correctly. This happened to me a good 5-6 years ago so I don't have the diagram anymore sadly. Just know bad things could possibly happen if you wire that back up wrong lol be careful. Electrical charge to the gas tank.

You might check the FSM... but I'm not certain the diagram is in there. I'd go down to the dealership and have them find the schematic.

You do know that you can unplug the gas tank from under the driver seed rear seat, right?

Lift the seat bottom, lift up the carpet, take out the three screws on the black cover, and unplug the tank.

Thank you singtoe , perfect .

Doc Yes I found out after I dropped the tank and ripped out the wires . Maybe I should start doing a little research before I just tear into projects . Haha

Thank you! Worked perfect. Went to replace my fuel pump and it looks like it had been done one already and the plug and wires were a mess and held together with some silicone caulking.
