Fully Customized Stereo Install...SQ not SPL

Final shot. I haven't completed the trim for the head unit yet, so I won't show that until it is complete, but the ICELINK is installed now and works great.

I hope you all enjoy the shots and I'm interested in getting your opinions. Sorry some of the shots are blurry, I'll try to fix some of those later. If you want to see something else (battery fuse holder, etc.) let me know.

Cheers!

I just wanted to ask if you might have the exact dimensions of the tweeters? I have the exact same truck a silver 2004 4runner. Thanks in advance, send if anyone would know it would be you.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that if things go according to schedule, I will complete my custom stereo install tomorrow evening (I have to since I'm supposed to go on a trip Saturday). My wife wasn't too keen on the idea, but I promised her that there would be room for my golden retriever Jaeger (pronounced Yager).

Anyway, I'm almost complete installing the following:

2 sets of Boston Acoustic 6.5 Pro Series component sets (front and rear)
2 Boston Acoustic Pro Series 10.5 LF (2 ohm) Subs
Kenwood 7015 Double Din DVD/Radio
Kenwood DSP
Hifonics Brutus 1000 watt Class-D amp
Hifonics Zeus 6400 4-ch amp
Dension Icelink Ipod connector
SWI-X Steering wheel controller
3 Farad Chome Cap

Sounds like a lot and believe me the install has been challenging, fun and a learning experience. I have lots of photos to include modifying the stock speakers to become my 6.5" speaker mounts, false floor fabrication, fiber glassing, carpeting, lighting, etc.

As I said, check back late Friday or Saturday and the photos should be up.

Cheers and wish me luck!

Very nice list and mad props for placing SQ as the paramount.
Actually starting up doing something similar as I just purchased both a 1999 Highlander edition 4Runner last week and purchased the Kenwood DDX 9705S DVD player to have Apple CarPlay and also to be able to add amplifiers and so forth.

Been thinking Boston Acoustics myself, but currently am about to pull the trigger on Focals (6.5 components front and 6.5 coaxial rear)
Great call on the capacitor as well as I have seen many installs let down by leaving out such things which really make a huge difference.
