fusible link 94 volt question

i burned out my fusible link (ground short, now corrected) from neg. terminal to ground. i want to replace fusible link with a fuse inbetween a wire instead, can anybody tell me the volts that the fuse should be? (the fusible link was a three seperate stranded wire link) note when i redid my wires from starter to battery i left a shroud around the pos. wire not sealed and during a rainy day it shorted out the fusible link on a start ,so now i understand why all shrouds were taped sealed (i think ,i hope anyways)

With respect, you might want to study up a little on the difference between volts and amps, and the relationship between them, before you start customizing your wiring harness.

I wouldn't replace a fusible link with a fuse anyway. The fusible link is meant to stay intact during momentary spikes, while the fuse will pop right away.

hey kid vermicious thanks for the prompt advive, yes that makes total sense, i just heard about replacing the link with a fuse online somewhere(if it was on the internet it must bee true !!!) guess ill visit the junkyard to get some replacement fusible link wire thanks t4r.
