I agree that the bumper should just go to the rear fender wells. I dont like the look of it at all.

Yeah I agree, the fitment of the rear bumpers at the sides doesn't flow too well. I am not a fan of all the plastic on the 5th gens to start with and am looking at some after market bumpers. The one pic shows the trimed rear plastic panel held onto the bumper with a zip tie...

Seems that if it went straight back to the wheel well, you would gain some clearance and they could use a lip to screw/bolt the liner to the bumper. seems like a cleaner solution. SW rear bumper 2.0?

edited - I have seen this thing in person several times. It's really nice looking. It was designed for SR5/Lmt, and it's a perfect match for those lines. It is designed to allow the vehicle to flex without interference from body panels or hatch. Fit and finish are outstanding (normal SW level).

It's a coulpe inches lower than the TE bumper, and (I think that) it would look kinda funny on a TE. I wish it was high and tight.

1) limamike, that is soooooo wrong.

2) I hope another group buy comes along or this one stays open for awhile longer. I plan on getting SR bumper, rails and skids but I have to wait until my taxes are done to see if I can order it now or wait until summer.

Was there any news on how the tire carrier works with:
A) the Gobi ladder
B) The rearview camera

I think these were covered in the other thread.

Good, I'm not alone on that thought. It needs to fit more "snug" and higher up. Weight plays a big role, does anybody know what we are looking at number wise in the weight of this bumper ( full set up-bumper and tire gate?)

The rear bumper is just ok. I will weight and see what other offerings people have. Still can't wait for my Shrockworks front bumper though.
