I love those rims... where did you get them?

They're method NV with the bolts paints black

Did I miss something? you traded up?! Thought you ha a red 4R

I never had a red one.

What offset are your rims?

I'm not sure. They're 17x8.5 4.5" bs

Think I saw you in Chula Vista off Telegraph today. New setup is looking good.

Yeah, that was me. Thanks
Those look awesome. Tire size is an addiction. I just went from a 32.5 ko to a 33.2 ko2, now, i see yours and think, hmmm. 34.4 is just over an inch bigger. haha. I would have to do gears first though.

I may have to regear now too. They're noticeably heavier.

Noticeable difference from the 285 MTRs?

Trying to see how big i can go without having to regear haha. I've seen many regear with 285/75/17 with toyo open country M/T but have read that those tires are heavier than other M/T.

The toyo's are definitely heavy. After driving for a few days with the 315's I've decided I'm going to re-gear. the only question now is 4.56 or 4.88. I ordered a sprint booster to help out in the mean time but i'm leaning towards the 4.56.

I'm going to a baja race here in a couple of weeks so i'll find out real quick how hard it is to Wheel with 315's. I hope i come back with fenders....

Looking great! Our PelfreyBilt bumper is on it's way and we'll be switching it out next week. Sounds like we made the same switch as you for the same reasons. Can't wait to get it installed.

Nothing else out there that is aluminum. It'll be the last thing I get if/when I ever decide to get a front bumper. I really like the styling of the oem bumper so I'll run with it for a while.

There are at least a couple of aluminum options. I'm heavily leaning toward the Hefty Fabworks bumper both because it has the option for aluminum and because it pays homage to the existing styling.

I just noticed your Shrockworks bumper for sale on ExPo and was wondering what you were getting next.

i think you'll be very happy with the weight savings.

Thanks. Yeah definitely looking forward to it. I almost started with the PelfreyBilt but thought I liked the looks of the Shrockworks better. After getting it mounted it just left some things to be desired. But then after seeing one in person at Overland Expo West in May I couldn't get it off my mind. Add the weight savings on top of that and I think it's going to be a good switch.

Can't leave anything good well enough alone....so here are 315's.

I love the new look of the bumper. I've just finished reading your build thread and your well documented build has made my decision making process so much easier.

Thanks for the awesome documentation and build!

Thanks man, I wish I was able to document in more detail but when I get into things, the last thing on my mind is taking photos.

I may be a 3rd Gen guy myself but god dang, this build got me drooling all over the place! Can't wait to see how the trailer turns out, it will be nice to not have the tent on the roof for all your trips. Thats where mine has been all summer killing my gas milage.

Love the look of your NVs with the bolts painted black! I want to do this with my wheels since i'm not a huge fan of the silver "fake" locks.

How did you paint yours? did you remove every bolt and powder coat, or just rattle can?

Thanks, I removed every bolt and painted them. time consuming but worth the change in look.

Looking for some more info on your frontrunner rack install. Are the shorter feet a custom thing, or is it an option from them? Also where'd you get the shorter antenna and how tall is the rack from the top of the roof in this configuration? Trying to figure out if I'll clear my garage. Thanks

Thanks Cozen89. When I ordered my rack it was all spare parts due to there not being a full length option. The feet I'm using are their 40mm for the rear 6 and 50mm for the front. I'll try to get you a measurement as soon as I can.

Gabex35 thanks! Why are the front feet taller? Is that necessary for the rack to be level?
