Mods are Cornfed 3" lift, 1.25" wheel spacers, 265/70 17 BFGoodrich All Terrains, K&N Intake, Gibson Catback.

Wheel spacers scare the hell out of me , so much more stress on the truck axles.

The Gibson is about a 20% increase in cabin noise under load. It really is by far the most quiet you can get. The mandrel bends are nice, and the fitment is A+. I recommend it. I purchased it for $263 shipped, cant beat that!

I can understand some people concerns with spacers, and I know its a hit or miss with telling certain people that they're safe. I gotta be honest with you. I dont see how they are a really negative thing or detrimental. I understand over time the bearings will undergo increased stress, but realistically...that may be at about 100k miles. Im willing to sacrifice 5-6 years of great appearance and performance from the increased stance for a couple hundred dollars years and years from now. Not to mention, the spacers dont in any way effect the axle...they effect the hub.

I thought it would effect the axle because the wheel and tire are pushed out further , just my thoughts , I have no experience with them just from years ago what I was told. The wheel spacers do make it look sweet , and agree with your point , 5-6 years & 100k to enjoy that advantage is ok with me too.

What wax do you have on the truck ?

I'll give you the scoop. I lifted the truck, wrapped some nice tires on it, and sat and stared. There was something out of whack. It was the wheel offset. The wheels were just way too far inset in the fenders. The appearance just wasnt right, and not to mention, the lift did make the truck feel more top heavy. But I can tell you this. Once I put the spacers on, the stability I thought I lost was back. By increasing the stance by 2.5" per axle it gave me back the confidence. Going in and out of driveways, over speedbumps, and over dips is a much less see-sawing effect in the side to side motion.

I picked them up for 112 shipped for all 4 on ebay. The vendor supplied a quality product, and as far as Im concerned is every bit as good as SpiderTrax for 1/2 the price.

To answer one more Q...the spacers can be seen through the spokes if you know what you're looking for. But I can tell you that blue anodized spacers(ie: Spidertrax) will make it obvious, and any average joe will say "whats them there blue thingies in your wheels?"

I have adapters. Sorry, I should have made it more clear. They are lug-centric as are our wheels.
