I have a 2003 4Runner and the gas door rubs at 7-8 o'clock and 11 o'clock. I tried bending it back but it still rubs. Did anyone have success with bending it back? If so, can you tell me how to bend it back. I tried bending it out, slightly pushing in and also pushing to the right. It is still out of alignment and seems to rub like it did originally. I took it to a Toyota body shop and I think they made it worse trying to bend it back. All they did was push in on it which was probably what was first done by the person pumping my gas. The paint has been chipping and I can only open it about 40%. Thanks.

mine also rubs and you can see it bulging out when looking in the side view mirror. I have pushed in on it to make it flush again but it still rubs. I have not attempted to fix it yet.
