Ok so I have it pulled out and everything on it looks good, yall think I should just get a new gas cap, connector hose and gas cap gasket and breather hose?

anyone ever heard of this. I mean its a metal tube how could it be leaking, I didnt see any holes in it..... HELP!! before I have to spend more money

Hey bud, The gas fill tube i have won't fit your 4runner. It does not have the Evap box port or hook up.

If yours is leaking (smoke), it sounds like the evap box is bad or vss. It is letting the smoke pass through venting through the fill tube.

That I don't know I wasnt around when the mechanic did the smoke test he just said he noticed a little bit of smoke coming out of the filler tube and I just got a charcoal canister from a junk yard I hope it isn't bad. GOSH I WISH THESE CODES WOULD JUST GO AWAY

Check your vs valves. There are some interesting vdo's about checking evap stuff.

Okay guys back to the drawing board, I did the test to my charcoal canister and luckily it passed both vsv switch activating and holding pressure when needed, the bad news is IDK why my codes are on the car the only thing I can think of is the gas cap but would that really cause me to have p0440, p0441, p0446?. I'm at my witts ends:wtf:

First buy an ODB2 Bluetooth reader, like this --

Amazon.com: BAFX Products (TM) - ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light and other diagnostics - Android compatible: Automotive

Download "Torque" for your Android or Iphone. Use it to get the snapshots that you need to properly diagnose the problem. I have attached the service information for diagnosing your codes. In the footnotes it says to diagnose the P0441 first. I don't know how much help this will be to you, but this is the only way to know for sure what the problem is.
