firstly I have A 1995 toyota 4runner sr5 automatic with around 162 xxx miles. A couple days ago I was right near an 1/8th of a tank, so I filled it right up too pretty much full (50$). then I noticed that when I got down to half a tank the gas guage just sat there, when I knew that I was using more gas then it showed. I tried putting 5$ in to see if the needle would jump a little bit and it did. So i drove it around some more and again it just sits at half a tank !!! I have a bad feeling that it could (and probably is) the plunger in my gas tank that probable needs replacing... which would be a huuuuge headache. hopping maybe there is something I missed or something else I can check before I take it in or try to replace the plunger myself
