Gas leak under engine?

Today, I started smelling some serious fresh gas fumes inside the cab. When I got out, it smelled even more, and I discovered there was a pretty steady dripping from under the engine. It was dripping off of the trans and couldn't figure out where its origin was. Any ideas? I'm now driving a death machine and need this fixed by saturday for a trip.. It's ONLY dripping from there under the engine..

Also, not sure if this adds any information;
But since I started smelling it, the engine doesn't start easy, even when warm. The starter gets it to a point where I can throttle it to idle, but that's it.

The fuel lines run down the passenger frame rail. My guess would be its leaking up under the passengers feet some where. If you follow the lines it should be easy to spot.

If its not the lines, check the back of the fuel rails between the back of the engine and firewall. There is a little screw in the back of the passenger side rail (maybe both) and if it fell out gas would leak down the back of the engine and onto the tranny...

You shouldnt be driving it with the leak. Obviously the engine isnt getting the gas it needs, and you know... fire and stuff.

could be the rubber hose that comes off the backside of the rail & goes into the plenum.... (forgot the name of it but it squirts fuel for starting)

Correction-
It's ending up on the front axle. I've been looking ALL around but can't pinpoint it. Can't see any moisture from the top.

Mine did that. Airdreams, I think it's called the cold idle start circuit sumpin or another. I just cut the ends off and hose clamped a new fuel line onto them. I had to pull the intake plenum off to find it, but I'm not sure if I had to take it off to repair the problem. Make sense? yeh, I know, sorry…..

^Its a v6, the fuel filter is back by the passenger side torsion bar mount.
