Gas near $2 by Thanksgiving?

Well now you went and got me going.
Right now it's $0.96/litre in my town. There's 3.78 litres in a gallon.
That gives you $3.63/gal in canadian. The current exchange rate is 1 USD = 0.9 CAD
So I'm paying $3.27/gal US.
If your gas prices go down to $2/gal than that's equivalent to a price of $0.59/litre in Canada.
I'm not bitter like my Winnipeg freind though because I live in a border town. I usually head over to the good ole US once a week to buy Gas, milk and Ben N' Jerry's.

Fuel Prices
I just got back tonight from a trip to Michigan. I paid $2.48 at Sheetz near Richmond, VA.
Let's keep this rolling in the right direction.

P.S. I paid $2.65 in PA, $2.53 in Ohio and $2.56 in Michigan during the past two days. The difference in price is much less than it used to be. When we were paying $2.85 in VA, it was up to three bucks a gallon in Michigan. They're normally a lot higher than we are.

Hmmmmm.... so if they are predicting a possible price of $2 to $2.50 a gallon, a little so-cal math means that we'll be paying around $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon here in San Diego. That's why I stopped driving to work and bought a trolley pass. But hey, my 4Runner stays clean all week when it sits in the garage.

Current price for 87 octane as of 09/07/06 is $2.519 (down from $2.859 four weeks ago)

Let's see.... we have election day coming up.... and it's midterm elections, and it looks like the lowly Democrats might have a chance at regaining the majority in Congress, and maybe even in both houses, so what can be done to help stop that.... how about.... lower gas prices! Yeah, that's the ticket.

Big three needs to move their '06 vehicles (V8/V10) before the end of year and the gas prices are hurting their profits. Only way to do it is for the gas prices to come down a bit to buy them some more time and off load them. They are hoping to that those people intrigued by the rebates but put off by the MPG will come back and buy.
It will be back up after the end of the year and probably stabilize to $3.00.

Might?? How about pretty much a lock to control things for a while thanks to Bush and his cronies who got too much control and ruined it for the republicans for awhile and people have grown tired of the mistake we made over in Iraq.
Democrats have a huge momentum built up going into the '08 election.
