Gas Prices #!@$$&*+!!

E85 is the stuff. I have converted my civic to run it and from my real world experience, I have gone from about 28mpg to about 22mpg(thats with some big ass 100lb an hour injectors). It is also only $2.50 a gallon at my local food store 
Not corrosive at all, thats methanol. I am trying to locating a hackable ecu for the runner as this is the only thing I don't have to convert the runner. You need to completely retune the fuel and ignition maps and haven't heard anyway to reflash the ecu yet. Could go with a standalone motec but then the runner wouldn't be "street" legal. Its my daily now so I gotta keep stock ecu. Anyone hack the stock 4runner ecu yet?? $3.07 for 87 around here

Well, it's basically a Choice: let the Dems raise taxes now, or let a Republican borrow the money from China and let your kids pay off the loan, while we pay of the interest! Your choice, the money has to come from somewhere! If we keep printing it like we are today, Inflation will get so bad milk will be $10.00 a gallon!

Wow, a serioulsy hot topic. Those who have mentioned the starbucks issue etc, I totally agree. Take your average gallons purchase in the month, me 70-80 and and the difference from $2.75 where I think we would all be 'comfortable' again and what it is currently, $3.30ish. Thats an additional $45ish a month. Now I think about something I did this weekend - Fish and chips and a few guinesses at the local irish pub, close to $40. Now I would rather give up one or two treats in a month and continue driving the 4Runner than sell it in fear of $5/$6/$7 gas and extra taxes. And I am sure most of you would agree, or you would not be on this forum. We are so spoiled in this country, and so used to having everything, for nothing in comparison with other countries, that we go mental when gas goes up. We drive big luxurious vehicles and until now have never really paid a premium for it. The world is feeling the pinch right now, not just USA. UK current price is the equivalent of $7.50 a gallon. Anyway I dont think we are to the point of adjusting our lifestyles because of the gas price, I certainly havnt.

I knew that the gas prices in Europe was more than the US, but man thats a lot lol. My wife and I are in a depate as to whos vehicle we should bring to Europe when we get stationed there. Either her Rav4 or my 4runner. The Rav4 doesn't seem that bad now. But I am still going to fight it lol.
