Gauge Cluster Plastic replacement

Hey everybody. I searched around and couldn't find a solution to what I'm looking for. I bought my T4R used and it came with gauge clusters that look like somebody tried to clean them with steel wool or a brillo pad.

I can see the gauges fine but it always bugs me. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find just the plexiglass/plastic cover for the gauges or if I'm going to have to find a whole gauge cluster to replace it. Thanks for the help in advance.

Google: instrument cluster lens....people sell them.

There are also loads of lens polishing materials and they work pretty good.

Never used this stuff but you get the idea:

Headlight lens polish would probably work just fine.

I have the same problem with my 2002 did you replace yours ? was it a PITA?

Buff it with Meguires PlastX compound. I use a foam buffing ball in a cordless drill.

You use the buffing ball on your gauges? Doesn’t it fling the PlastX everywhere?

Also, a PSA to anyone using PlastX - great product but wipe it before it dries. It’s not like wax where you buff it off after the haze forms.

I would imagine he removes it to polish...

I used a layer of Xpel paint protection film on my gauge cluster to hopefully keep the scratches at bay. A bit overkill.
