Gauging interest: Custom Carbon Fiber Door Pillars for 96-02 4Runners

3rd gen 4Runner owners have been asking for more items to help customize their vehicle. I may have something that is really cool.

Real carbon fiber door pillars that are made to go on your EXTERIOR B pillars. These will cover your existing plastic pieces (with the bumps) on your stock pillars while making your truck a little sportier. Subtle, classy, unique.

UV protected pieces that will not yellow or fade over time. The 3M backing will be spaced in from the edges of the pieces -- This prevents dust/dirt from collecting on edges. Edges are also tapered down where the clear coat ends giving a nice & "finished" look. This is the same way the dash kits are done.

I've had these custom made for some Titan owners and they love them. I can have them made for the 4Runner if there is interest.

I'm not sure yet, but they will be MUCH LESS than the Titan ones since they are much smaller on 4Runner. Anytime something is done custom it's more since it's not mass produced. This will be a unique item that you won't find anywhere else. Same quality as the dash kits. I will add more when I know more.

I'm also interested but have a few questions...

I live in Iowa ( ok no jokes) We get a lot of Ice storms not to mention wet snow. I'm concerned about water getting under the edges and freezing...any problems with lifting?

Again...no jokes...I use the quarter wash in the winter time when it's freezing to knock the junk off...no high preasure, just rince

Big Temp extremes plus moisture and freezing then the thawing...can be all in the same day.

Can this stand up?

i attend school in montana in missoula and one night after being a huge retard and driving home drunk with a car full of kids smoking cig's with all the windows down, i forgot to roll them up. that night it snowed half a foot and my burtman dash kit was fine even after thawing. as you guys know all of his stuff is top notch

Man that would suck! When stuff like that happens to me, I live by one rule...ALWAYS BLAME YOUR FRIENDS! Just kidding. Anyway, hope you got out without any water or electrical damage.

Your silver and my Thunder Cloud grey will look awsome with these pillars. I think the color would really stand out. My only concern is the ice. I would like to see a pic on a Third Gen.

No worries, just like the vent shade vent visors. They should hold up the same. They use the same 3m tape.
