gave the truck some love today...

as the title states. gave it the sea foam treatment. always a neat experience. by blipping the throttle while the exhaust was smoking, I got Bruce (my T4r) to blow smoke rings out of the tail pipe. followed by a royal purple oil change and a little bit of off road action. just thought I would share what did ya'll do to your truck today?

excellent! did that yesterday. After the Airraid intake tube and the seafoam, I am noticing a bit of a mpg increase. my gas gauge didn't move from full until almost 50 miles

You know, I've been looking at the airraid intake tube for a few months trying to decide if I want that vs everyone's addicting deck plate.. I'll definitely follow everyone's MPGs (Including your own) to see if there is any type of improvement or is it just the BUTT dyno that sees the gain..

when I bought my truck, it was bone stock and I was averaging probably 18mpg per tank (mixed highway and city driving). after doing all of my mods, lift and front bumper specifically, i saw a drop to around 15. The supercharger kept my city mpg's about the same, but my conservative highway mpg's (55-70 mph, no heavy accelerating or breaking) shot to around 20-21 mpg's! Still haven't had a good, full tank through since the airraid upgrade, but I will keep you informed!

Keep in mind, the first mod I did was the deckplate and it was done a few months after I bought my truck. didn't really notice much of a difference. so, I have a combo of the deckplate and the airraid, as well as the TRD S/C

Thanks, much appreciated. I would love to do a S/C but since it may be passed on to my daughter in a year or two, that it may be a little too much to play with at her age/experience (Or lack thereof).

Has anyone used Lucas gas treatment? I'm on my second tank full and my mpg went up slightly to 21.6mpg - stock Mich XT tires are still on the Runner so I think this plays a big part in my good mpg average.

Never bothered with the deckplate mod since it's more cosmetic(sound wise) than functional.

A little OT but im trying to decide between the Airraid intake and K&N... Can you provide a little more information about them? Thanks in advance...
